Respect for rights
Comic Circuit is a collection and discovery service. Comic covers, character names, logos, titles, and related material remain the property of their respective rights holders. The service does not host full comic books or offer them for reading or download.
Not affiliated with publishers
Comic Circuit is an independent fan service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by DC, Marvel, Image Comics, or any other publisher, creator, distributor, or retailer.
Designated-agent status
Comic Circuit is preparing its electronic designation with the U.S. Copyright Office. The operator name, public contact information, and registered agent details are not yet finalized. The form below is monitored during the closed beta, but it does not represent that the separate federal registration has been completed. Those details must be published here and match the Copyright Office directory before registration is treated as active.
Submit a takedown notice
A copyright owner or authorized agent may submit the form below. A notice should identify the protected work; identify and locate the allegedly infringing material; provide the claimant’s name, postal address, telephone number, and email address; include a good-faith statement; include an accuracy and authority statement made under penalty of perjury; and carry a physical or electronic signature. A representative list may identify multiple works at one site. Materially misrepresenting infringement may create liability.
Review and removal
Notices enter a restricted moderation queue. Comic Circuit may request clarification and will act expeditiously on a substantially compliant notice, including by removing or disabling access where appropriate. We may send the notice and claimant contact information to the affected member, preserve relevant records, and document the response. A notice is not automatically valid merely because it was submitted.
Counter-notices
A member whose material was removed because of a copyright notice may submit a counter-notice using the same form. It must identify the removed material and its former location; provide the member’s name, address, and telephone number; state under penalty of perjury that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification; consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate U.S. Federal District Court; agree to accept service from the original claimant; and include a physical or electronic signature. We may provide the counter-notice to the claimant. Unless the claimant notifies us that it filed an action seeking a court order, the DMCA generally permits restoration between 10 and 14 business days after a compliant counter-notice is forwarded.
Repeat infringers
Comic Circuit records credible copyright notices and related account actions and, in appropriate circumstances, terminates accounts of repeat infringers. We may also address clear or severe infringement after a single incident. We do not count rejected, withdrawn, or facially invalid notices as established infringement without considering the circumstances.
No legal advice
The DMCA process has legal consequences. Comic Circuit cannot advise a claimant or member whether material infringes, whether an exception applies, or whether to submit a notice or counter-notice. Consider consulting a qualified attorney.
